The Lower Churchill project involves the construction of two dams on the Churchill River in Labrador, Canada.
Construction has begun on one of the dam sites, Muskrat Falls, which can be seen near to the community of Happy Valley-Goose Bay in Figure 1, to the left.
Our assessment of this project has focused on six valued ecosystem components VEC's: cultural heritage resources, economy and employment, land and resource use, aquatic biotic environments, terrestrial biotic environments, and abiotic environments.
